An asymmetric multiplayer game for 3, 5, 7, 9, or 11 players. A terrible coup has occurred at the castle! The prestigious Royals must protect the Queen and her castle from assassins and bombs, but the treacherous members of the Coup look exactly the same as the guards! Use deception, deduction, and teamwork to figure out who your allies are and complete one of your team's objectives before the time runs out. As the Queen you can stun players with [E] and ring bells located around the map to decrease the round's timer (bringing you closer to victory!) As the Coup you can either kill the Queen or find, plant, and then detonate a bomb to win the round. As the Royals you must protect the Queen as she evades her assailants, disarm bombs before they explode, and keep an eye on other players to see if they're deceiving you. The Coup and the Royals will either be a Warden, who can "arrest" another player with [E], or a Butler, who can lock doors with [E]. This project was made as a partnership between Manticore Games and Cogswell College's Spring 2020 Game Studio 2 Class.
