Default Level of the Week

Hey, Tony...now that we're near to 4 weeks behind...hope we get to see your submitted levels soon...wish I could create levels, too, but I am definitely not savvy enough.

I really feel this website is going to die if we don't get some "action" from the Core Concepts contingent here. I try to check in every day...jinks4 has not received an answer on her Puzzle Quest question...and so it goes. I know Core Concepts is busy (thank god), but let us in on what's going on...please?

Okay here goes...
We're working on finishing up the Puzzle Magazine. This means that we have to fix the bugs, test it, and make sure everything's working. On top of that, we have to make sure the subscriptions are working properly. We're also fixing the problems with CoLa so we can get those games back in the store and get it to the people who have been waiting patiently for it.

I am currently learning two new programming languages so we can fix up the website. A lot of potential customers have been disappointed by the look of our website and have lost interest in our games. Revamping it is going to take a lot of work, but it's something that we need to do if we want the company to survive.

The daily puzzle page and ezine had been shut down because of a problem with Microsoft. The reason Jinks didn't get an answer here is because we answered all of our ezine customers in an email to them. I figured a reply here would be redundant, but I can post it here as well.

We have been testing our games to make sure they run fine on Windows 7. When Vista came out, we had lots of problems and had to fix a ton of bugs with our games.

We are trying our best to market our two iPhone games. It's a tough market and getting reviews is very competitive. We're trying to figure out the best ways to promote our new games. We are also working on two new iPhone games. We're doing this in the hopes that they will take off and our company will continue to survive.

We're also working on a new level set for Rich Diamond.

So that's what we're working on. *phew*! I'm pretty sure there's more that I'm not thinking of right now, but that's all I remember currently.

Tony, I'm very sorry that I haven't replied yet. This week has been so crazy that I didn't really get on here. Thank you so much for building the levels! I'm very excited to see them and it's a huge relief to get so many submitted.

Submission at coregames dot com doesn't work anymore. Could you please send them to Bob at coregames dot com for now? That would be much appreciated!

These forums will not die if there's customer interaction. Lee and Radomike have been posting tons of levels in the level submission folder. Check those out! Make comments, compliment them, and post scores and ideas! This place was designed to be a place for community, and for that we really want customers to make it their own. There have been several times where I have put up levels for a month and there have been little to no replies. We want a thriving community here so that new customers are interesting in joining in in the conversations.

Again, I apologize for the delay in these replies and in getting levels up. Please understand that right now for our company it's do or die and I've only neglected levels of the week because we're trying to survive and not have to shut down. I'll start getting Tony's levels up this week. Right now some encouragement would be great, rather than a countdown of how many weeks we've missed. Thanks a lot for all of your support over the years, and I hope that we're around for years to come to provide levels!

Finally...a response! That's all I wanted...now I know WHY we have not heard from you and it is a sad reason, indeed. That being said...yes...you need a community...but it is Core Concept's website...and someone should at least try to check once or twice a week to monitor the site to make sure the community is running smoothly. Lee and Radonmike are to be more than commended for all the free levels they create...but isn't that Core Concept's job as well?

Good luck to you and keep us informed of how things are going.

Bobbie,
Please understand that I have been checking in more than once or twice a week. I don't want it to seem like I am not available to answer questions that our customers have. I am here, and even if it takes a few days, I will answer your questions! I felt that I had answered your question about the lack of levels several times before, stating that we were very busy. Since you wanted more info, I told you everything we were working on, but that doesn't mean I didn't answer your question before.

Thanks for your continued support over the years. I know that the levels of the week have sometimes not been so much every week, and I'm sorry for that, but we have tried our best. However, we have released hundreds and hundreds of free levels over the years. We did these levels not because it was our job, but because it was something that we wanted to do to reward our customers.

Thanks again, and stick around. We have lots of cool stuff coming out, and you won't regret it!

Jonathan - Thanks for the reply. I sent seven levels to Bob at coregame - so that should keep the weekly going till the end of the year. Hopefully I will have some spare time to build more. . Cheers, Tony

Smile Thanks for ALL the great levels Tony!

They were lots of fun.
I think my favorite, though hard to choose,
was Lazy. It had that "oops" moment.
and the "aha" was fun to accomplish.
Thanks for adding so much enjoyment for the close out of 2009!
