Calling all MS players!

Mad Scientist never took off quite as much as Rich Diamond for some reason, but I know we had more than several faithful players of this game. I would like to hopefully get more people into the game as well, so I pose a question: Who would play new levels of the week for Mad Scientist if I started it up again? Just vote yes if you would. It's been a long time since I played Mad Scientist. While some of the levels were challenging and fun, I often found the game too difficult for my liking. It's a well-designed game and is a great challenge but I just never enjoyed it as much as I do Rich Diamond. So I probably wouldn't download any more levels. I tried my copy and it doesn't work on my computer anymore. I downloaded the latest version but I'm no longer registered. I still have my sav files for two level sets -- MadSci.lvs and Time Machine.lvs. I'm not sure if downloading the MSLevSet.exe file and executing it will erase all my scores that are in my sav file.

Hey Twm,
How long ago was it that you played Mad Scientist? We have changed the game quite a bit since it came out. We reordered the original level set and added 20 more easy levels to make the flow and learning curve work much better. I think this makes the game much more enjoyable. I actually like MS more than RD, but everybody has different preferences.

If you are interested in getting the newer version of the game I will get it to you and help you set it up so you don't lose your old save files either.

Actually I need to set up your account for you so all of your previous purchases are added to it so you can get your codes. I'll email you when I get in to work tomorrow and get that going for you as well.

Something happened with my game because when I start it, it tells me that it's not registered. So I can't see how many levels I completed. I know I got pretty far with the main level set. I looked at the lvs files and it shows I last accessed MadSci.lvs about a year ago. TimeMachine.lvs was last accessed in June 2007. I'm almost positive I don't have the patch that added another 20 levels to the main set. And I don't think I ever purchased any of the expansion packs. I think the Time Machine level set was part of the Level of the Week program. I remember that I didn't dislike the game, but I just found myself playing RD more often. I have quite a few RD level sets and in those sets I still have plenty of levels that I haven't completed. In the beginning I had a tough time with getting my head around Mad Scientist. It was just very difficult for me. I eventually got the hang of it but some levels were still impossible and I just enjoyed RD more so when I had the time to sit down at the computer, that was the game I played. Nothing against MS. Great design and challenging puzzles. Just a personal preference I guess. If you can help me unlock my game, I'll download the patch and give it another shot.

Sounds good. It should be fairly easy to get the game up and running again, just a matter of downloading the new demo, typing in your code, and hitting enter. When I get in to work tomorrow I'll get that going for you.

I have played demo version and I got full version of Mad Scientist from my friend but got bored.:o

I would love to see some more levels so I might would enjoy it more!:)

I'm sorry you got bored with the game. Did you only have the main level set? I think that if you tried some of the other level sets you might end up liking the game more. I actually didn't like Mad Scientist that much at first, but the more I played it the more I liked it. It kind of grows on you! :D You might like the Journeyman or Young Igor level sets if you want something a bit easier.

Do you play Rich diamond at all?
